ICF Awards

The International Coach Federation (ICF) offers several awards each year to recognize and honor our individual members, chapters, and organizations that have demonstrated a remarkable commitment to advancing the art, science and practice of professional coaching in their community and beyond.

ICF Award Categories and Past Winners 

ICF International Prism Award
The 2010 application deadline was August 13. Winners will be announced at the ICF Annual International Conference in Fort Worth, Texas, October 27-30, 2010.

In 2005, the global office of the International Coach Federation adopted the concept of the Prism Award developed by the Greater Toronto ICF Chapter. The prestigious International Prism Award recognizes organizations that have enhanced excellence and business achievement through their commitment to coaching as a leadership strategy.

Past ICF Prism Award recipients:

  • 2009 - ibm.com (North America) and Solaglas Windowcare (United Kingdom)
  • 2008 - British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and SYSCO Food Services of Canada
  • 2007 - NASA (APPEL 4-D Systems) and Deloitte and Touche
  • 2006 - University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and Verizon Business
  • 2005 - IBM and MCI

ICF Chapter Awards -
The 2010 application deadline was August 20. Winners will be announced at the ICF Annual International Conference in Fort Worth, Texas, October 27-30, 2010.

Local chapters are the core community of the coaching profession, providing a voice for coaches in over 160 communities. ICF Chapters have the opportunity to be recognized for their efforts by submitting an application for one of two possible awards categories. The Local Spirit, Global Presence-Community Activism Award recognizes chapters who have established a significant coaching presence in their communities. The Finding our Voice-Marketing/ PR Award recognizes chapters who have created a successful marketing/ PR campaign within their community. Chapter leaders may nominate their own chapter or a fellow chapter.

Congratulations to the 2009 Local Spirit, Global Presence-Community Activism Award recipients:

  • Large chapter: Metro DC Chapter (USA);
  • Medium chapter: Professional Coaches Association of Michigan (USA); and
  • Small chapter: Romania Chapter (Romania).

ICF President's Award
Each year, the president of the ICF presents an individual or organization with the ICF President's Award, in recognition of the work he or she is doing to promote coaching in a humanitarian capacity. There is no application process for this award. The 2010 recipient will be announced at the ICF Annual International Conference in Fort Worth, Texas, October 27-30, 2010.
